A customer (Mercedes Benz C-Class 2015-2018, Control unit: NTG5.0, W205) encountered an issue: dashboard lights flashing for about 10 seconds along with a malfunction warning of the forward collision control assist after installing the CarPlay Smart Box.

After communicating with our technical colleague and the customer, we discovered that this was caused by incorrect DIP switch code settings. Here's the best way to resolve the issue.

• Step 1: Turn off the Smartbox;
• Step 2: Set all switches (1 to 8) to On;
• Step 3: Set all switches (1 to 8) to Off;
• Step 4: Set the switches according to the installation diagram;

• Step 5: Turn on the CarPlay Smart Box.

So, you will solve the problem.
